Q - Will I eventually have to replace the Wood Guide on my Exacta-Guide, if so, where can I buy one?

A - The Wood Guide is a standard 3/4" x 3/4" x 15" piece of pine wood.  Most any type of semi-hardwood will
work.  Most hardware stores have pieces of this size. If you make your own, just ensure that the grain of the
wood runs the lenght of the piece you are cutting, and that it is perfectly straight.

Q - Why do I have to use a spacer to set the rubber lock?

A - The carpenters pencil was included in the packaging as an example of a spacer that should be used.  It

positions the Exacta-Guide to a correct angle for setting the rubber lock as below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q - Can I make compound angle cuts using a circular saw with my Exacta-Guide?

A - Yes you can with the use of a 1.5 inch spacer to offset the circular saw and not damage your Wood Guide as

       shown in the pictures below.

Q - How do I mark my cutoff and position my Exacta-Guide when making circular saw angle cuts.?

A - First, you will need to make a spacer the same width from the end of the Wood Guide to the main body of

the Exacta-Guide as show below left.  Next, set the angle arm to the position that you want to make your

cut.  Place your spacer against the angle arm to mark your angle on the wood as in the in the second

picture.  The spacer is a reference guide for your mark only, and should be removed prior to cutting.
